Yes, there are 15 different Save slots (on PC at least I think) so you can have many playthroughs on the go at once. The game doesn't tell you this I don't think, but you can manually save. If you open up your current save and do a manual save in a new slot, the auto save may be overwritten but you could always load your manual save back. I think it's either under Story or Progress in the pause menu to find the Save/Load options. Just make sure you don't manually save over your old one with your outlaw oneAutosave has been changing Arthurs clothes, shaving hime/cutting his hair, etc randomly.
